Pax8 and Liongard Announce Kaseya Integrations

Pax8’s backend ordering and management infrastructure now exchanges data with Kaseya’s PSA platform. Liongard’s automated discovery and documentation solution now imports endpoint data from Kaseya’s RMM system.

Pax8 and Liongard have rolled out new integrations with Kaseya‘s managed services line-of-business software.

Both vendors unveiled their latest cross-platform capabilities at Kaseya’s Connect IT conference this week in Las Vegas.

The Pax8 integration, which is modeled after earlier integrations with PSA solutions from ConnectWise and Datto’s Autotask unit, lets users of Kaseya’s BMS product synchronize customer, contact, and subscription information with Pax8’s backend ordering and billing infrastructure.

That allows MSPs to order software and complete billing cycles through the same interface they use to manage other aspects of their client relationships, according to Pax8 Chief Channel Officer Ryan Walsh. The net result for Pax8 partners, he continues, is greater productivity. The benefit for Pax8 is easier, and therefore increased, ordering activity.

“As we remove friction in the ordering process and the billing process and the delivery process, partners are embracing that by doing more business,” Walsh says, noting that Pax8’s Microsoft-related licensing alone now exceeds 1.1 million seats a month.

According to Walsh, Pax8 has close to 6,500 partners currently, and adds another 300 to 400 every month. It adds one to two new cloud vendors to the roughly 35 it represents at present every month as well. Last November, for example, the company announced agreements with BDR vendors Acronis and Dropsuite as well as security vendors Proofpoint, Passportal (now part of SolarWinds), and IRONSCALES.

Beefing up its line card allows Pax8 to give partners a wider range of options in key product categories, Walsh explains, and encourages cross-selling. Pax8 introduced a tool called Stax a year ago to help partners spot cross-sell opportunities more easily.

In addition to Kaseya BMS, ConnectWise Manage, and Autotask PSA, Pax8’s platform integrates with PSA applications from Tigerpaw and Syncro.

Liongard’s integration allows Roar, its automated discovery and documentation platform, to import endpoint information en masse from the Kaseya VSA remote monitoring and management solution.

That’s a more efficient and accurate way to build and maintain Roar’s database of hardware, software, and cloud service information, according to CEO Joe Alapat, who says that Liongard has similar integrations with RMM tools from ConnectWise and Continuum, as well as Auvik’s network management solution, on its roadmap.

All told, Liongard has close to 30 integrations with third-party products now. Those have included Autotask PSA since March and IT Glue since last September. Other supported platforms include cloud solutions from Microsoft and Amazon, BDR systems from Datto and StorageCraft, and security offerings from Cisco Umbrella, SonicWall, and Webroot. Connections to products from Continuum’s BrightGauge unit, as well as Box, Dropbox, Salesforce, and Veeam, among others, are all in preview.

Beefing up Roar’s integration inventory is a priority for Liongard at present. Alapat expects to have at least 50 “inspectors,” as the company calls its software agents, in place by the end of the year, and potentially as many as 100. “This year we have to focus on what we call ‘inspector velocity,'” Alapat says. The ultimate goal, he continues, is to turn Roar into a “single source of truth” for everything MSPs manage.

“We’re not just thinking about on-prem hardware. We’re thinking about the on-prem apps and services. We’re thinking about networks. We’re thinking about the cloud infrastructure,” Alapat notes. “The focus is really around being the system of record for all of the managed technologies.”

In addition to importing data from those and other products, Roar can export records to ConnectWise Manage as well. Similar integrations with Autotask PSA and Kaseya BMS are under evaluation.

“That’s where we’re a little bit different than most other platforms,” Alapat says. “We really don’t want to see ourselves hold that data hostage.”

Other integrations introduced at Kaseya Connect IT this week include synchronization between ID Agent’s security training platform and Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory. Kaseya announced that it has acquired ID Agent on Monday.
