“We’re about the services that our partners have to provide for disaster recovery, and therefore we need to be connected to those solutions so we can make it easier for them to do their jobs every day,” Bellini explained to ChannelPro. “But we don’t want to sell one. We don’t want to own one.”
That’s a marked departure from the approach embraced by the recently established combination of Norwalk, Conn.-based Datto Inc. and East Greenbush, N.Y.-based Autotask Corp. In addition to RMM and PSA software that MSPs use themselves, that newly merged company will offer BDR, networking, power distribution, and other products that MSPs sell to their customers.
Elsewhere at IT Nation today, ConnectWise showcased future enhancements to Automate, its RMM solution, and a new tool for supporting devices MSPs can’t connect with via traditional remote control applications. The conference concludes tomorrow.
