AppRiver Gives Lead Generation Tool to Partners

Part of an update to the cloud vendor’s appMailer email marketing system that also includes enhanced social media and security functionality, the new feature lets channel partners collect contact details from sales prospects in exchange for a free white paper.

AppRiver LLC has shipped an updated edition of its appMailer partner marketing tool with lead generation functionality.

The new feature lets partners of the Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based cloud services vendor design and execute campaigns aimed at convincing sales prospects to submit contact details in exchange for a free white paper. AppRiver provides the white paper, a co-branded email message, and an end user signup website for potential clients. Partners, who must provide their own mailing list, can then download information submitted by potential clients in a spreadsheet.

Other new features in the latest appMailer release include the ability to promote marketing initiatives on social media outlets and support for SSL encryption.

Introduced in January and accessible from within AppRiver’s Partner Portal, appMailer is designed to help cloud service providers conduct email marketing efforts utilizing templated messages and collateral bearing their own name and logo. Free to use, the tool integrates with email marketing services from MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, Constant Contact, and Hubspot.

Helping channel pros become not just better sellers of AppRiver products but more effective business owners as well is a central tenet of AppRiver’s approach to partnering.

Lead generation assistance has been a popular partner program enhancement among vendors recently. Continuum, Datto Inc., and Intermedia have all introduced end-to-end marketing campaign services of one kind or another in the last 12 months.
