Acer has unveiled the latest addition to its Chrome OS device portfolio – Chromebase for Meetings (CA24V), an all-in-one dedicated video conference system designed for small conference rooms or executive offices.
Boasting the largest screen of all the Chrome OS devices on the market, Acer’s Chromebase for Meetings features a 24-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) touchscreen display with IPS technology, reproducing consistent and accurate colors at up to 178-degree wide viewing angles. The solution also includes four microphones and two speakers so that participants can hear and be heard as well as an adjustable HD webcam that tilts from – 5∞ to 30∞.
The Chromebase for Meetings solution, which utilizes Google Hangouts, can host video conferences with up to 25 participants across a variety of devices for anyone with a meeting link.
IT administrators can deploy and remotely manage the Chrome device through Chrome Device Management, and the solution integrates with other videoconferencing systems and existing phone systems.†
Chromebase for Meetings is available for $799 in the U.S., which includes one Chromebase all-in-one desktop plus the first year’s Google Video Conferencing license fee. Customers in the U.S. can sign up to apply for a free trial of the solution.
