Data security and encryption provider, WinMagic Inc., and rugged mobile solutions supplier, Motion Computing, have teamed up to improve mobile security across construction, public safety, and field service. As part of this new partnership, WinMagic’s SecureDoc data encryption and security software is pre-installed on Motion’s new R12 Tablets.
SecureDoc comes at no additional cost for Motion customers and provides data encryption to protect confidential and business critical information. For more than just standalone encryption offerings on their devices, customers can upgrade to the full SecureDoc product suite, offering centralized management capabilities and additional features.

The R12 is the first of Motion’s products that will include SecureDoc embedded on the device offering Full Volume Encryption (FVE), touch-enabled pre-boot authentication, self-help password recovery, and Windows 8.1 encrypted Refresh and Reset. The R12 Platform, designed for the worker who moves from the field to the vehicle to the office, features a sleek and lightweight FHD 12.5-inch rugged tablet along with other accessories.
