SMBs gain another file transfer option this month as collaboration solutions provider Litéra makes available its Secure File Transfer product.
Litéra Secure File Transfer enables SMBs to improve security and support compliance initiatives through email encryption, advanced electronic signatures, and secure large file transfer. It also enables SMBs to send encrypted emails and attachments of any file type up to 100 GB. Moreover, the advanced electronic signature functionality enables the execution of contracts and agreements.
Litéra Secure File Transfer is available as a hosted or on premise private cloud application. Users can send large files up to 2GB directly from Microsoft Outlook or up to 100GB using the web interface.
Users can also view a full audit trail of sent and received files, including time-stamping, proof of delivery to email server and inbox, and open notification.
“Common methods of transferring files have introduced concerns of security and compliance,” says Litéra COO Norm Thomas. “In fact, the average business cost of a data breach is between $5 million and $8 million.”
“To mitigate this risk, businesses need a solution that raises the security and auditability of transferring sensitive or confidential information and files,” Thomas adds. “Litéra Secure File Transfer invokes the most secure encryption technology available to protect an organization from information leaks.”
Additional features of Litéra Secure File Transfer include central policy management for administrators, scalability, and mobile device access.
