Epson Introduces Four New Projectors for Academic Settings

The latest PowerLite models offer wall- and ceiling-mount capabilities and integration with the BrightLink Solo 3 interactivity module.

Projector manufacturer Epson introduced four PowerLite models this month, all of which will be made generally available in November. The PowerLite 420, 425W, 430, and 435W offer SMBs and academic institutions bright and affordable short throw projector options. In addition, the company rolled out BrightLink Solo 3, a new optional interactive module that turns any flat projection surface into an interactive solution.

Epson Introduces Four New Projectors for Academic Settings  “Not every classroom’s needs are the same, so schools require flexible projector solutions that can be installed in multiple ways and offer a range of connectivity features and future proofing options, while still being affordable,” says Sara Kim, Epson’s associate product manager. “The PowerLite 420, 425W, 430, and 435W short throw projectors can be paired with Epson’s short throw wall mount or a universal ceiling mount, which can both be used with BrightLink Solo 3 when interactivity is required, for a cost effective solution for teachers.”

The new PowerLite models are ideal for teachers in need of a wall- or ceiling-mounted short-throw projector. †Each PowerLite model offers:

  • Connectivity options that include HDMI.
  • An internal 16-watt speaker.
  • Up to 6,000 hours of lamp life.
  • PC-Free slideshows, with USB connectivity.
  • Flexible setup, with ? 15 degree horizontal and vertical keystone
  • Built-in teaching aids, like pre-designed line and graph pattern templates.
  • Power On and Off, Instant On/Off, and A/V Mute features.
  • High-density filter that covers eight times the surface area of previous generation filters.
  • The latest 3LCD, 3-chip technology.

PowerLite 430
This model delivers 3,000 lumens of color and white light output. It offers XGA resolution and can project 4:3 content up to 106-inches diagonal. It carries a MSRP of $1,049.

PowerLite 435W
This model delivers 3,000 lumens of color and white light output. It delivers WXGA resolution for widescreen content and can project a 16:10 image up to 113-inches diagonal. It carries a MSRP of $1,149.

PowerLite 420
This model delivers 2,500 lumens color and white light output. It offers XGA resolution and can project 4:3 content up to 106-inches diagonal. It carries a MSRP of $949.

PowerLite 425W
This model delivers 2,500 lumens color and white light output. It delivers WXGA resolution for widescreen content and can project a 16:10 image up to 113-inches diagonal. It carries a MSRP of $1,049.

Teachers can also incorporate interactivity into their lessons with the optional BrightLink Solo 3 module. †BrightLink Solo 3 connects to the projector mounting plate included with the optional Epson short throw wall mount (or sold separately at $499).

Epson also offers the Brighter Futures program, a sales and support initiative available specifically for schools.†
