Tone Software Releases ReliaTel 4.1

The latest version of the VoIP and unified communications solution for Microsoft Lync is designed to manage the entire Lync UC environment.

Converged telecommunications and IT infrastructure developer Tone Software Corp. has released the latest iteration of its ReliaTel VoIP and unified communications (UC) Service Assurance solution. Version 4.1 offers monitoring and management for Microsoft Lync UC environments.

“The adoption of Microsoft Lync as a UC platform is growing exponentially, with Microsoft reporting the platform experienced a 250 percent growth rate overall this year,” says Tone Software in a press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.

The new ReliaTel VoIP and UC Management solution for Microsoft Lync manages the entire Lync UC environment, inclusive of the underlying IPT network, primary VoIP switch, third-party SBCs, and network transport devices, end users’ desktop resources, and users’ softphone call quality.

SMBs embracing Lync as their UC platform can now leverage ReliaTel’s real-time multi-platform management to achieve centralized management of quality, performance, and capacity across their entire VoIP and Lync UC environment – all through a central pane of glass.

“ReliaTel for Lync addresses the needs of operations teams requiring visibility into Lync-driven UC quality and service levels,” says Amit Kapoor, Tone’s director of strategic technology. “Leveraging ReliaTel’s core competency of multi-platform VoIP and UC management, the new 4.1 release delivers not only deep visibility over Lync UC services, but also additional real-time performance dashboards and expanded QoS trending reports for both Avaya and Cisco.”

The latest ReliaTel release also includes deeper Avaya RTCP QoS reports and Cisco QoS reports that deliver extensive quality trending metrics to help users identify recurring quality patterns and issues.†In addition, ReliaTel 4.1 offers expanded Cisco Performance Dashboards that provide users with dynamic graphical displays of Cisco real-time metrics, including call activity, registered devices, channel activity, and port activity. Through these combined Avaya, Cisco and Lync capabilities, ReliaTel 4.1 delivers an end-to-end solution that empowers voice and network teams to more effectively ensure UC service levels.

Benefits for MSPs

For MSPs, the ReliaTel Lync management capabilities open additional doors into client sites integrating Microsoft Lync into their environment, enabling service providers to easily expand their service portfolio to offer management services over a broader range of UC technologies (without increasing their operational overhead or service delivery costs).†

Combined with ReliaTel’s multi-vendor, multi-platform management support, multi-tenant design, and deep VoIP QoS monitoring and analytics, ReliaTel says its solution provides a single, centralized platform that MSPs can leverage to deliver full management services.†

ReliaTel 4.1 is available immediately.
