Based on that success, Microsoft has increased the co-sell program’s budget and added a new dedicated channel manager role tasked with supporting Azure solution developers in their go-to-market and lead generation efforts.
“They're focused on bringing the right partner in at the right time to the right customer,” said Huddleston this morning of the new channel manager team. “You now have one team to help you get connected to customers across areas and segments.”
Both the co-sell program and ISV Cloud Embed target the roughly 35,000 Microsoft partners who currently base applications on Azure. Those include the many MSPs who have become vendors by turning programs they originally developed for their own use into products sold to other channel pros.
Also at Inspire today, Microsoft introduced a new cloud-based solution combining its Office 365 collaboration platform, Enterprise Mobility + Security suite, and Windows 10 operating system in one pre-assembled package. The Microsoft Inspire conference closes on Thursday.
