Today, the solutions provider announced a partnership with Intel Corp. to make its GFI VIPRE Antivirus, GFI LANguard, GFI EventsManager, and GFI EndPointSecurity products available through the Intel Hybrid Cloud.
“SMBs are increasingly aware of the cost savings and efficiencies they can gain by adopting cloud-based IT solutions,” states a GFI Software press release submitted to Channel Pro-SMB. “The Intel Hybrid Cloud enables GFI Software to take advantage of that rising demand and the recurring revenue it generates from subscription-based pricing.”
POSITIONING FOR GROWTH
According to IT research firm Gartner Inc., SMBs benefit from cloud services, particularly because they tend to have smaller IT forces. For this reason, Gartner reports, SMBs are flocking to the cloud. The research firm forecasts that “SMB cloud market revenue will exceed $30 billion by 2014; with the greatest demand coming from SMBs in North America.”
GFI Software is reacting to these trends by adjusting its own software delivery and pricing models to support cloud-minded SMBs.
