It’s the middle of the winter, so the idea of outdoor entertaining probably hasn’t crossed your mind in quite some time. That said, we’re always thinking about projectors. In fact, Epson has us thinking warm thoughts with the company’s latest, the PowerLite Home Cinema 600.
The newly announced 3LCD Home Cinema 600 projector can deliver big images almost anywhere at SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. Since it’s portable, it can work indoors and outside, promising images for screens up to 25 times larger than a 60-inch TV screen. It even boasts 3,000 lumens of color brightness and 3,000 lumens of white brightness for use under almost any lighting conditions. And because it has HDMI, it’s easy to pair with a Blu-ray player, game console, media streamer, or any other device.
Other features include four preset color modes, a built-in speaker, auto vertical correction, and easy slide horizontal image correction.
“The Home Cinema 600 is bright and versatile enough to take just about anywhere—think backyard cinema, big game parties and big-screen gaming nirvana—at a fraction of the price of a large flat-panel TV,” says Jason Palmer, marketing manager of Epson America. “This easy-to-use projector delivers a remarkable home entertainment experience at an appealing price for first time users.”
The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 600 will start selling in January, with an MSRP of $379. That price also includes a two-year limited warranty with toll-free access to Epson’s PrivateLine priority technical support and a 90-day limited lamp warranty.
