Cloud security company Total Defense Inc. has released of a major update to its Total Defense for Business platform. The update includes email archiving and data leakage prevention (DLP), both of which are delivered via the cloud for ease of deployment and use.
“These two new additions will drive greater compliance efficiency for Total Defense customers and partners,” states a Total Defense Inc. press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.
Driven by compliance requirements and stringent federal laws and regulations, email archiving is increasingly a concern for many SMBs. Unfortunately, achieving compliance with legacy solutions is often a challenge. Total Defense’s cloud-based email archiving solution provides users with an automated capture of all email communications while also enabling real-time access to archived email data for compliance requirements. The solution also includes newly added dashboard views and detailed compliance reports.
In addition, the company announced the availability of its cloud-based DLP solution. A wide range of compliance mandates require the protection and proper handling of customer, patient, and user data. Delivered via the cloud, the DLP solution effectively replaces individual security tools with a single product and policy. DLP enables SMBs to protect confidential data and control data flow to comply with PCI, Sarbanes-Oxley, GLB, HIPAA, and personal information security policies.
“A common misconception is that compliance is an ‘enterprise-only’ problem, however regulations don’t differentiate between large and small businesses,” says Total Defense CEO Paul Lipman. “Often, the SMB is at greater risk as they frequently operate without the personnel or expertise available to get them back into compliance. Both our email archiving and DLP solutions are designed to enable organizations of any size to achieve compliance more efficiently, via the cloud, regardless of their expertise or capabilities.”
Total Defense for Business, with both email archiving and DLP is available immediately.
