The Onkyo DS-A5 iPod/iPhone/iPad and AirPlay Docking station, allows owners of Onkyo A/V receivers –including older models lacking USB or Ethernet connections — to enjoy all the benefits of AirPlay wireless streaming from iOS devices, including the new iPhone 5, and from iTunes-equipped computers. It uses the receiver’s RI infrared data jacks, which have been used for wired sharing of remote control data since the 1990s. The DS-A5 includes a docking and charging connection for most iPod, iPad models, and for iPhone up to model 4S. It is Wi-Fi certified and has an Ethernet port for connection to a home network.
