snom technology, an IP communications provider, has launched a new line of business VoIP phones designed for SMBs in need of an enterprise class phone. The snom 7xx series includes the snom 720 and the snom 760, which combine business functionality and Gigabit Ethernet switch into an advanced desktop phone priced for SMBs.
Both the snom 720 and 760 offer:
- Gigabit Ethernit switch
- Automatic provisioning
- Wireless LAN connectivity
- Bluetooth connectivity
The snom 720 offers 18 configurable function keys and four variable keys, and also includes standard VoIP calling features. The snom 760 offers more visual functions, with a larger display.
snom also sells all of its products through the channel. “It’s the most effective way with a company of our size going global,” says Tommy Lee, snom’s western regional channel manager. “We depend on having distributors on the street. We do what we can to feed the channel.”
For channel partners wanting to sell the snom phones, snom has added snom active. This hosted management solution allows VARs to add their own configurations and for them to deploy the management system into the customer base while using the managed system. snom active allows partners to deploy in advance, take the phone out of the box at the customer site and simply plug it in. Partners can also use snom active to manage the systems on a day-to-day basis, as well as manage the corporate environment.
Available now, the snom 720 is priced at $219, and the snom 760 is priced at $329. For more information, visit http://www.snomchannel.com.
