Vizioncore Inc., maker of virtualization data protection and management solutions, has rolled out the latest iteration of its performance monitoring and capacity planning tool, vFoglight 6.0.
vFoglight 6.0 is a virtualization management solution that enables administrators to better understand the complex relationships and interactions among all the components within a virtual infrastructure.
With vFoglight 6.0, Vizioncore says its latest vFoglight version aims to simplify the process for SMBs looking to manage virtual infrastructures. It does this by providing user-friendly access to these benefits, among others:
- Performance Monitoring–Detects, diagnoses, and resolves problems affecting performance and availability in both virtual and physical server environments.
- Capacity Planning–Reduces the need for additional resources to support the infrastructure.
- Chargeback–Provides cost transparency to IT management and business stakeholders that indicates what groups and workloads are consuming resources and allows costs to be recovered proportionately.
- Service Level Management–Aligns IT and the business by measuring service levels, performing chargeback and reporting key information to stakeholders.
Vizioncore vice president Tyler Jewell says that many of the companies implementing virtualization are not fully realizing the full benefits of their undertaking. This is due, he says, to the “the poor performance of infrastructure resources.”
