BenQ Adds Performance and Flexibility Options to Key Projectors

The M5 Series projectors, among others, offers a range of cost savings and installation benefits to SMBs and organizations.

Visual display solutions manufacturer BenQ America Corp. has revamped its line of M5 series projectors for SMBs. The manufacturer has given its MS504, MS521, MX505, MX522, and MW523, the M5 series projectors 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness, Colorific image quality, and an 10,000 hours of maximum lamp life. The projector products also feature both Blu-ray and stereoscopic 3D support and a range of presenter tools.

“Our latest M5 series projectors offer enhanced brightness and increased energy-savings for multipurpose projection environments,” says Bob Wudeck, BenQ’s associate vice president of strategy and business development.

Power Savings

Using BenQ’s SmartEco technology, the new M5 series projectors provide 10,000 hours of maximum lamp. As a result, users can reduce their energy consumption without compromising picture quality. To further reduce power consumption, a “no source detected” mode automatically lowers brightness to 30 percent when no display has been detected for more than three minutes.

In “Standby” mode, BenQ projectors also lower power consumption to less than 0.5W during periods of inactivity.†

Resolutions, Applications & Availability

Available in SVGA (MS504 and MS521), XGA (MX505 and MX522), and WXGA (MW523) resolutions, the new projectors feature BenQ’s Colorific image quality to provide users with sharp, long-lasting color. As a result, users experience up to a billion colors “without experiencing light burn” or color degradation over extended usage, according to a BenQ press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.

High contrast ratios of 13000:1 enable BenQ’s M5 series projectors to deliver sharper picture quality. This presents detailed images in a variety of ambient lighting settings and adds to the flexibility of the projectors’ installation options.

For 3D entertainment, the MS521, MX522, and MW523 feature 3D Blu-ray compatibility while the MS504 and MX505 deliver stereoscopic 3D-ready projection. For classroom settings, the MS504 and MX505 projectors add an audio pass-through function for circumstances in which teachers require only sound. Meanwhile, the projectors’ teaching templates enable presenters to write on whiteboards without the need to draw lines. To minimize disruptions, administrators can also easily replace lamps on the go using the new upper lamp door on the MS504 and MX505.

Available the end of November 2013, BenQ’s new MS504, MS521, MX505, MX522, and MW523 retail at $429, $489, $499, $529, and $749 respectively.
