Lantronix Launches New Embedded Device Server

Lantronix, an M2M provider, has just launched the xPico device server, touted by the company as the world’s smallest embedded device server. xPico can be used in designs typically intended for chip solutions, but offers a lower cost and faster time to market thanks to the lack of software development required. †

Key features of the xPico device server include:

  • Chip-sized footprint at 24mm x 16.5mm
  • Complete device server application with full IP stack and web server
  • Serial data rate of up to 921Kbps
  • 256-bit AES encryption
  • Operating environment at extended temperature range: -40 degrees to 85 degrees Celsius
  • Five year limited warranty

xPico begins volume shipping in the early second half of calendar 2012 and is available for preorder through Lantronix.com and the company’s distribution channel. MSRP for 1,000 units is $23.00.
