Ivanti Enhances User Experience and Desktop Control with Unified Endpoint Manager

Featuring User-Centric Policy Control, Unified Endpoint Manager Provides Co-Management for Diverse Devices from a Common Console

Ivanti, the company that unifies IT to better manage and secure the digital workplace, announced Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager, a new solution which integrates the features of Ivanti Endpoint Manager, powered by Landesk, with Ivanti Environment Manager Policy, powered by AppSense. The new solution delivers the co-management of diverse endpoints from a common console while improving user experience and enabling IT to control every aspect of user devices at a highly granular, contextual level.

“Today’s users expect more from their computing experience. Snappy logons and an optimized desktop that follows me onto every device are expected in the modern workplace,” said†Jon Rolls, Vice President, User Workspace Management Products at Ivanti. “Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager meets these user demands while simplifying the co-management of different device types. Managing a mixed enterprise of Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and Linux devices can be performed easily, from a single console with deep visibility and control.”

“By consolidating more of what we need into a single console, Ivanti gives me one place where I can control application deployment, patch compliance, software licensing, and antivirus. We are able to administer more and more pieces of the environment in a more manageable manner,” said†Mark Weiss, Senior Systems Analyst, Sharp HealthCare.

Ivanti Unified Endpoint Manager unifies the management of endpoint devices with a common workflow and management view. Featuring comprehensive features for device discovery, inventory and configuration management, OS provisioning, software distribution and PC and Mac remote control, Unified Endpoint Manager also includes the ability to perform user-centric, contextual control of Windows desktops. As a result, organizations are better able to:

  • Accelerate migration to Windows 10, including the migration of users’ personal settings and files.
  • Speed logon time so users can get to work faster.
  • Eliminate hundreds or thousands of Group Policies and replace them with advanced, multi-threaded policies that dynamically configure the desktop based on user context.
  • Perform dual management of endpoints, including the ability to support both traditional agent and mobile device management (MDM) capabilities on the same device.
  • Improve Mac user productivity through a self-service portal that will be familiar to all Mac users.

Ivanti has been recognized as a†2018 Gartner Peer Insights Customers’ Choice for Client Management Tools†for Ivanti Endpoint Manager. The Gartner Peer Insights Customer’s Choice distinction is based on feedback and ratings from end-user professionals who have experience purchasing, implementing and using Ivanti’s endpoint management solutions.

One†IT Director states in his Gartner Peer Insights review, Ivanti “does everything… seriously… everything. We needed a good endpoint manager for our company. We were so disorganized as a company and Ivanti Endpoint Manager offers a few things that help us, as a company to succeed. The fact that it allows us to use our MacBooks and PC laptops (as well as Linux and Chromebooks) is a huge plus. The dashboards it provides are awesome! Ties our assets and service management systems together.”

Unified Endpoint Manager is available now.
