Ipswitch, a managed file transfer (MFT) provider, is adding new features to its North American channel program. Channel partners across all three levels (Business Partner, Premier, and Elite) can now access support, services, and resource enhancements to gain entry or better leverage in the MFT market.
The enhancements include:
- Discount program – discounts are based on a partner's level of sales or volume.
- Sales and product marketing support – dedicated representatives, demand generation programs and a partner portal with tools and resources.
- Deal registration – additional discount points are given for signing up qualified net new sales opportunities on the FT Partner Portal.
- Training certification – partners become immersed in the education of Ipswitch products. Training certification also helps partners looking for even greater association with and support from Ipswitch to move up levels.
The news comes on the heels of another announcement from Ipswitch, in which Ipswitch began to offer its MOVEit product line through Tech Data for distribution.
According to Melissa Dougherty, director of North American channels, the new product fits well with solutions already being implemented by partners.
"It's a great product to go to market with," she says, "and provides lucrative double digit margins. Customers are becoming more concerned about the transfer of their data." Dougherty also touts the product's usability in financial and legal fields.
"There are a lot of financial institutions… that need to maintain compliance and deal with regulatory [issues]," she says. "I'd say financial is about 40% of our client base today."
