Addigy Announces Full Support for Enterprise macOS Mojave Deployments

Company Backs Apple’s Most Advanced Desktop Operating System

Addigy, a leading provider of cloud-based Apple device management software, has announced support for macOS Mojave, Apple’s latest generation OS. With the new update users can take advantage of Apple’s new Dark Mode desktop color scheme, Stacks desktop de-cluttering app, new applications and more. The Addigy platform is fully compatible with the new OS which is now generally available to business users globally.

To certify macOS Mojave on the Addigy platform, the company collaborated with Apple and conducted compatibility tests to thoroughly confirm interoperability. As a result, Addigy now provides full-stack cloud-based management of all viable macOS platforms, including Mojave, and delivers complete central oversight for both macOS and iOS devices. Addigy delivers 24x7x365 monitoring and management of these systems to ensure they are secure, up-to-date, and running at the highest levels of efficiency.

According to a statement by Apple, macOS Mojave is available as a free software update for Macs introduced mid-2012 or later, plus 2010 and 2012 Mac Pro models with recommended Metal-capable graphics cards. Some features may not be available in all regions or languages.

Addigy’s Truly Touchless Spoof-Proof Deployment provides administrators with the fastest and most secure configuration and workflow optimization option for devices being upgraded to macOS Mojave. The newly available capability by Addigy enrolls and manages multiple macOS/iOS systems, providing a secure foundation for macOS updates. With minimal effort, employee machines can be on-boarded and production-ready for business use in minutes. IT administrators are able to audit all macOS/iOS assets quickly to identify which OS versions and applications are installed, whether updates have been applied to all machines on the network, and which systems must be updated for corporate compliance or government mandates.

It is important for organizations to manage and control the point in time they choose to rollout Mojave in the future. Beyond legacy application compatibility, many of the workflows in Mojave require a careful review in order to avoid configuration challenges and Addigy provides both guidance and solutions to prevent such issues. This ensures that mission-critical software and peripherals are compatible with the new operating system, allowing for a smooth remote deployment.

“With the release of Apple’s macOS Mojave, IT administrators are looking for ways to ensure their environment stays protected while maintaining business continuity,” said Jason Dettbarn, CEO, Addigy. “Addigy is working with Apple IT administrators to ensure the smooth rollout of Mojave and that every new device provided to an employee is configured & provisioned with everything the business needs to be successful and secure.”
