Kaseya CEO Rania Succar took the DattoCon main stage this year with a message to the industry: AI, automation, and data will define who wins the next chapter. That’s her ultimate MSP growth strategy.
Speaking in her first U.S. keynote since assuming the chief executive role, Succar outlined her vision to more than 2,000 attendees in Miami Beach, FL. Kaseya will help partners expand margins, simplify operations, and lead the transformation ahead, she said.
Here are five key takeaways MSPs can draw from Succar’s opening keynote at DattoCon on Oct. 7.
1. Kaseya’s Core Values Are Evolving, and Its Focus on MSP Outcomes.
Succar opened her keynote by reaffirming the foundation of Kaseya’s mission, but said the company’s values are evolving with the industry’s needs. The four main values, according to Succar, are:
- Customer outcomes above all. “Our team gets out of bed every day to increase your revenue, expand your margins, and ensure that your customers are successful.”
- Kaseya aims for innovation that delivers.
- The company seeks to create frictionless end-to-end experiences
- Kaseya will drive “community-powered growth.”
2. MSP Margins Are Under Pressure and AI-native Competitors Are Rising
Since taking the helm four months ago, Succar has heard a consistent message from more than 100 MSP leaders. Profits are tightening, competition is increasing, and automation isn’t easy.
“In many cases, we see that core gross margins have come down from 50% to 30%,” she said during the keynote. “AI-native MSPs have started to enter the market and undercut prices.”
MSPs are looking for a partner that helps them “get more leads and convert those leads.” They also need help to expand their service lines while improving client communications and compliance.
3. The MSP Industry Is at a Crossroads: Commoditization or Indispensability
Succar positioned this moment as a defining one for managed services. “Either we drift towards becoming commoditized, or we lead the change towards becoming truly indispensable in this moment of transformation.”

She outlined two paths. On one, automation and security challenges push MSPs to the margins. On the other, MSPs lead with value, intelligence, and trust.
“Done right,” she said, “AI amplifies your strengths.”
4. Kaseya Will Become an API-first, Data-driven Company
Succar announced that Kaseya will become an “API-first company” to unify its platform and simplify integration for partners.
“We are going to build secure and modern APIs for each one of our offerings while unifying them,” she said. “You’ll be able to authenticate once to KaseyaOne and take advantage of the entire platform.”
At the same time, Kaseya is unifying its data layer — connecting “three exabytes of backup data” and “16 million endpoints.” Succar said this visibility into the SMB ecosystem will power smarter automation and business intelligence for MSPs.
“With this unified data layer, you’re going to be able to harness advanced intelligence insights,” she said. “We’ll be able to automate all your workflows through things like ticket triage and deliver for you the most advanced AI in the industry.”
5. Kaseya’s Vision: AI and Automation as MSP Growth Engines
Succar’s keynote tied every initiative back to the theme of using AI to strengthen MSPs’ businesses, not replace them.
Kaseya’s roadmap, she said, “automates what’s manual, connects what’s fragmented, and secures what’s vulnerable.”
“Our platform is incredibly strong today, but these changes are game changing,” she said. “We see tremendous and unprecedented opportunity for what’s possible. And we’re going to stand here with you, building the next generation of our platform for all of you to achieve it.”
The Bottom Line
Succar’s debut keynote set a confident tone for Kaseya’s next chapter. She emphasized that MSPs must embrace AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making to stay indispensable. And Kaseya intends to be their partner in doing so.
For MSPs ready to lead the transformation, Succar’s message should resonate. The future is yours to shape with the right tools, mindset, and partner.
