Connectivity solutions provider Lantronix Inc. has launched its xDirect device server.
The new xDirect is a compact serial-to-Ethernet device server that provides SMBs with connectivity to virtually any device or machine with a serial interface.†Designed for plug-and-play simplicity with a small form factor, xDirect is “suitable for a variety of markets from security to industrial automation to medical,” according to a Lantronix press release submitted to ChannelPro-SMB.
“We’ve been working closely with our customers and partners to develop a sleek form factor at a competitive price to solve their need for rapid and easy device connectivity right on the wire,” says Mak Manesh, Lantronix’s vice president of product management.
xDirect features an integrated Ethernet port and serial cable as well as multiple power options, including PoE. It also offers a built-in Web server that enables users to access and configure the unit using a standard Web browser on a PC, smart phone, or tablet.†
xDirect is available for pre-order now, carrying an MSRP of $99.95. It will begin shipping in November.
