OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL — The Global Technology Industry Association (GTIA), the nonprofit membership community connecting and representing the worldwide IT channel, and The ChannelPro Network have announced that Paige Erickson from Sartell High School in Sartell, MN, is the 2025 GTIA ChannelPro Cecilia Galvin Scholarship Winner.
The scholarship honors the memory of Cecilia Galvin, former ChannelPro Network executive editor and a passionate advocate for women in technology who passed away in 2017. It is presented annually to a deserving young woman aspiring to be a technology professional.
“Cecilia Galvin was a long-time champion for women in the technology industry and a true inspiration to countless members of the IT industry,” said MJ Shoer, chief community officer at GTIA. “We are pleased to announce Paige as the scholarship winner for 2025 to represent the next generation of technology professionals and to continue the legacy of Cecilia Galvin.”
The $5,000 USD scholarship is awarded to a senior high school student with a 2.0 or higher GPA, who is a leader in their school and community and has demonstrated an early interest in technology. The scholarship can be applied to a two- or four-year college program, trade school or professional certification and training program in the technology space within the United States.
“Cecilia Galvin was instrumental in building the foundation and setting high standards for ChannelPro’s magazine, website, and our events,” said Michael Siggins, founder and publisher of The ChannelPro Network. “We are grateful for this ongoing collaboration with GTIA to continue to honor the memory of our dear colleague and her passion for advancing women in STEM careers.”
