Zyxel Communications, a provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access and connected home products, has announced the expansion of its family of high-performance, business-class wireless networking solutions with the addition of the NWA1123-AC PRO 802.11ac Dual-Radio, Dual Mount PoE Access Point.
The NWA1123-AC PRO is an 802.11ac dual-band access point that delivers combined data rates of up to 1.75 Gbps and incorporates a dual-optimized antenna and RF design to provide high performance and coverage in environments such as small businesses, home offices, hotels, and schools.
Priced at $184.99, the POE-capable access point provides two different patterns for ceiling- and wall-mount deployments and can be managed using the Zyxel One Network Utility, which eliminates the need for a WLAN controller.
In addition to the standalone operation mode, the NWA1123-AC PRO supports repeater and root-AP mode with Zyxel’s Unified Series and Unified PRO Series access points to extend wireless connectivity to challenging areas without Ethernet cabling. The access point also incorporates a robust security feature set that includes WPA2 Enterprise, Layer 2 Isolation, IEEE 802.1X, RADIUS Authentication, and support for up to 16 SSIDs. †
