Infrascale, a provider of comprehensive cloud-native data protection, has launched Infrascale VMware Backup. This new VMware hypervisor-level backup solution extends Infrascale’s Data Protection Platform to protect virtual environments across any operating system or device. The solution, which includes cloud backup, disaster recovery, file sharing, and cloud archiving, boasts an integrated data-protection platform that allows MSPs to reduce the cost and complexity of operating multiple technologies from multiple vendors to protect their customer’s data.†
Infrascale VMware Backup installs at the hypervisor level, and detects and backs up every virtual machine in the environment. Infrascale also applies its data de-duplication technology to further compress the backup size, and then encrypts that data with a double-blind encryption system. Infrascale VMware Backup also protects environments not addressed by VMware’s native backup tools, including ESXi free hosts and hosts that use VMware’s Physical Compatibility Mode/Raw Device Mapping. †
The company’s VMware Backup is available to MSPs and authorized resellers for a monthly subscription fee. In addition to Infrascale’s cloud storage, customers can back up data onto any public cloud of their choice, including Amazon Web Services and Azure.
Pricing for VMware Backup starts at $99 per month per VMware host, allowing an unlimited number of VM guests, after purchase of the Infrascale Data Protection Platform. Additional information is available here.
