IT solutions distributor, Avnet Technology Solutions, has introduced its next generation of converged infrastructure solutions powered by the 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors – Ivy Bridge. Featuring SAP HANA, Cisco data center technology and storage, these solutions enable companies to store, process, and analyze large data sets in real-time.

These solutions combine SAP’s use of in-memory computing and Cisco blade and rack servers with large-memory capacity, networking, and virtualization. Additionally, partners’ customers can select one of two storage options, EMC VNX5400 or NetApp FAS8040, to provide support for up to 16 terabytes (TB) of optimized data. These Avnet-developed solutions boast cost-efficient processing and analysis of large amounts of data in real time, giving customers the ability to gain insight into business operations, respond quickly to changing priorities, and reduce the costs associated with the deployment of multiple data warehouses.
