STORserver, a data backup provider, has made upgrades to its data backup appliances. Sold exclusively through the channel, STORserver now offers a backup appliance for budgets of all sizes, including SMBs.
The new entry-level BA series backup appliance is designed for customers with one to seven TB of data to backup per appliance. Fully integrated for backup and archive, the BA series appliance includes a 15TB disk-based storage pool driven by a six-core processor server with 32GB of memory.
Other upgrades include an update on the Enterprise Backup Appliance (ideal for organizations requiring less than 10TB up to 1PB of data), enhanced pricing on the Instant Restore Appliance for midlevel companies, and stand-alone console sales for STORServer Console, which enables users to configure and manage their IBM Tivoli Storage Manager environment.
