CounterPath Corporation has partnered with Vidtel to offer interoperability with their products, providing mobile video conferencing as an alternative to expensive video conferencing solutions. The interoperability is for CounterPath’s Bria softphone for PCs and mobile devices, and Vidtel’s cloud-based MeetMe platform, which allows any-to-any video conferencing between a combination of devices and technologies.
The new interoperability between Vidtel and Bria allows customers of all sizes to:
- Participate in video conferences, regardless of location, with a mobile device
- Enter a video conference room by dialing a phone number, PBX extension or SIP address
- Using SIP-based native interoperability for high video conference quality
Existing Bria customers can begin using MeetMe immediately. MeetMe is available through a variety of channels, with plans starting at 15 cents per minute for video participation. Bria for Macs and PCs can be purchased at the CounterPath online store while Bria mobile is available through and iTunes App Store.
