IObit Releases New Version of Game Booster
Version 2 of the software features a redesigned interface and improved scanning capabilities.
Software vendor IObit has released Game Booster v2, the latest iteration of its product for gamers.
Game Booster is designed as a “one-click-switch” to turn any PC into a “game machine,” according to the company. It works by temporarily shutting down unnecessary background processes and services to concentrate the computer’s resources on the gaming application being played. Afterwards, users can easily switch the PC back to normal operation, restarting all the shut-down processes and services.
The new version of Game Booster features a redesigned interface. In addition, the product now sports enhanced scanning abilities for selecting and closing applications not necessary for gaming. Game Booster v2 also makes use of IObit’s second generation defrag engine, which significantly decreases game load time.
Other important new features in Game Booster v2 include:
- Game Box–This adds and manages games in a small box and boosts the game automatically when launching.
- Game Drivers–This feature keeps every game’s specialized drivers up-to-date, including drivers for video cards and sound cards.
- Game Essentials–This tool simplifies downloading and updating of game-enhancing software, including Ventrilo, TeamSpeak, Xfire, and Steam.
- System Tweaks–This works in the background to help provide top PC performance.
