Cloud security and compliance developer Qualys Inc. is now offering a SMB version of its software suite.
The new QualysGuard Express Lite is accessible directly from any Web browser without buying servers or installing software, making it easy-to-use and affordable for organizations with limited IT security budgets and expertise.
“Our mid-sized customers have been using QualysGuard Express due to its ease of use and actionable security results,” says Qualys CEO Philippe Courtot. “The new Express Lite offering will be ideal for small business customers who have limited IT resources and yet need a comprehensive security and compliance monitoring solution.”
Delivered as part of the QualysGuard Cloud Platform, the Express Lite cloud solution offers:
- Network Monitoring—Servers and computers can be assessed for security problems, helping SMBs to prioritize issues via easy-to-understand reports and patch updates.
- Web Application Scanning—Websites, online forms, and Internet applications are scanned for security vulnerabilities.
- Malware Detection—Malicious code is identified, and admins are alerted.
- PCI Compliance Automation—Servers and computers are scanned for vulnerabilities, payment card industry (PCI) self-assessment questionnaires are managed, and results are auto-submitted to acquiring banks online.
QualysGuard Express Lite is a cloud security and compliance solution sold via annual subscription, based on the number of systems and Web applications. Annual subscriptions, starting at $795 for two Internet servers, will be available in July.
