Pulseway Ships New RMM Release for Growing MSPs

Named Pulseway Scale, the system includes functionality intended to help teams of technicians collaboratively support larger organizations more easily.

Pulseway has shipped version 6.0 of its up-and-coming RMM solution.

Officially named Pulseway Scale and available immediately, the new system is designed for small but growing MSPs with expanding customer bases.

“Our customers are getting larger,” says Marius Mihalec, CEO and founder of MMSOFT Design Ltd., the Irish vendor responsible for Pulseway. “What we’re doing with the 6.0 release is enabling them to grow to the next level.”

Tailored to the needs of newcomers to managed services, Pulseway has historically allowed users to combine managed endpoints into groups with shared policies. Pulseway Scale makes supporting larger companies easier, Mihalec says, by enabling MSPs to bundle groups into sites and sites into organizations as well. Technicians can apply policies or run tasks against devices at any level in that structure.

“It allows you to either go deep into a group and run those optimization tasks or go at the organizational or site level to run them as well,” Mihalec says.

Pulseway Scale is designed to support the needs of MSPs with growing technical staffs too. “Whatever they were managing to do with just one IT person, now they have to collaborate and do together with a team,” Mihalec notes. The new release makes that easier, he continues, by allowing channel pros to define administrative teams whose members can share scripts, reports, and more.

That same functionality makes adding users to Pulseway easier as well, Mihalec adds, because newly assigned team members automatically inherit team-level access rights.

New installation functionality in Pulseway 6.0 lets one agent deployed to one endpoint discover other devices automatically. “Our customers can use that first system as a probe into the network,” Mihalec says. “It allows them to onboard new customers faster.”

Despite those and other new features, Pulseway 6.0 is priced the same as its predecessors. Users pay $1.85 per workstation and $3.95 per server monthly on a pay-as-you-go basis. Annual contracts offer a 10 percent discount. A free edition capable of monitoring two systems is available as well.

A member of ChannelPro‘s “vendors on the vanguard” list for 2018, Pulseway currently has about 4,500 customers worldwide, of which roughly 2,500 are MSPs. The system picks up over 200 additional partners every month, according to Mihalec, who credits an interface and architecture optimized for use on mobile devices for the product’s success.

“It’s a modern RMM that has all the important functionality that our modern users need, without any of the baggage or complexity of the legacy players out there,” he says.

The Pulseway platform includes PSA functionality, anti-virus software, and outsourced NOC services. Integration with the IT Glue’s documentation solution debuted in June of this year.
