D&H Introduces Video Wall Kits and Services

Meant to help IT providers with limited signage experience successfully design and deploy video wall solutions, the new offerings can be coupled with professional services from D&H in areas like pre-sales support, quoting, and onsite installation.

D&H has added kits designed to help channel pros deliver full-scale video wall solutions to its lineup of Pro AV products and services.

The new bundles, which join an extensive roster of Direct View digital signage (DVLED) and LED video wall offerings, include preconfigured and prefabricated components aimed at helping IT providers with limited signage experience successfully complete what is normally a complex, heavily customized solution design and deployment process.

Kits are now available through D&H from LG, NEC, Planar, Samsung, and ViewSonic, among others. Partners can couple them with professional services support from D&H staff in areas like pre-sales support, quoting, bill of material creation, and onsite installation.

“Video wall kits are helping to bring these projects to the mass market, streamlining configuration and installation,” said Peter Hurley, director of D&H’s ProAV Business Unit, in a media statement. “We’re looking for partners to utilize the vendor-supplied kits in combination with D&H’s robust menu of Professional Services. They can also leverage resources like training and marketing materials, to both educate partners and help them drive awareness of the viability these projects. Such tools and services will empower partners to add ProAV video wall deployments to their portfolios, even if they don’t have in-house expertise in this area.”

The global Pro AV market will expand at an 11.2% CAGR through 2027 to $518.26 billion, according to Coherent Market Insights. Sales of video wall technologies specifically will climb at an even faster 22.4% during that timeframe to $70.1 billion, according to Verified Market Research.

Video wall kits are part of a larger pro AV initiative by D&H aimed at helping MSPs and solution providers capture a share of that spending. Other recent efforts include the introduction of an upgraded online mini-site, the hiring of additional Pro AV salespeople, and the rollout of new partner education videos.

According to D&H, esports and solutions designed to help businesses comply with pandemic-related public health guidelines are two of the top use cases for video solutions at present.

Esports installations typically produce between $80,000 and $300,000 of revenue, the distributor says, and usually include displays, content management software, collaboration systems, professional audio, cabling, power products, and accessories.

Concerns about social distancing mandates, D&H adds, have schools, hospitals, houses of worship, and other organizations that host large numbers of people equipping boardrooms, meeting halls, lobbies, and performance venues with bigger screens that can be viewed across greater distances by physically dispersed crowds.

Vendors are increasingly supplementing their traditional video walls products with streamlined kits like those D&H now offers, the distributor says.

“As the digital signage market continues to mature,” Hurley states, “D&H’s experts have accumulated hands-on success in the field. They are well-positioned to help partners deploy both custom and kit-based solutions efficiently, while staying on-budget, and within an effective timeline.”

D&H has been building out a growing portfolio of outsourced professional services for Pro AV, esports, cloud computing, data center, network infrastructure, and security projects since last year.
