Corsair Ships Force Series GT Solid-State Drives

The high-performance SSDs offer SATA 6GB/s technology and ONFI synchronous flash memory.

Corsair, a components supplier to the PC gaming hardware market, is now shipping the Force Series GT line of solid-state drives. Using the new SandForce SF-2280 SSD Processor, the new Force Series GT offers native support for SATA 6GB/s (SATA 3) and ONFI synchronous flash memory.

The Force Series GT SSD’s features include:

  • Up to 85K Random Write IOPS
  • Read speeds of up to 555 MB/s
  • Write speeds of up to 525 MB/s
  • Backwards compatible with SAT 2

All Force Series GT models come with a 3.5″ adapter for use in both notebook and desktop PCs. Force Series GT SSDs are shipping through Corsair’s network of distributors and retailers and will be available in July at $149 for the 60GB model and $279 for the 120GB model.
