Telcodium, a manufacturer of redundant power supplies and a TelcoBridges’ spin-off, has brought to market a new line of power supply products that offers significantly reduced energy use for lower operating costs and increased reliability.
Telcodium’s new power supplies replace the typical three-module power supply architecture (two power supply bricks and one intermediate bus converter (IBC)) with a single power module with redundant AC feeds. The power module operates at 94 percent True System Efficiency (TSE) or higher — reducing average energy loss by 13 percent or more.
According to the company, the module is 30 percent smaller than the two power supply bricks and eliminates the standalone IBC, freeing space inside a host system. The high TSE and size reduction are made possible by the company’s GaN-based design and patents. For more details, visit telcodium.com.
