The ASCII SMB IT Success Summit hit the Big Apple area on September 22-23 as part of its 2021 series of business-building events for managed service providers (MSPs).
ASCII Summits bring MSPs together to learn best practices, network, find new revenue streams, and stay current with the latest industry trends.
The N.Y./N.J. event started on Wednesday, September 22, with badge pickup and lunch, followed by welcome remarks. Attendees heard a special added session: “Tales from the Breached.” The rest of the afternoon included sessions on cloud, cybersecurity, XaaS, compliance, IT assessments, and more.
ASCII member Stephen Monk, CEO of Noverus Innovations, presented on “How MSPs Can Best Manage Growing Pains.”
The day ended with an evening networking reception.
On day 2, Jerry Koutavas, president of ASCII Group, kicked off the morning with his presentation on “Where MSPs Should Reinvest in 2021.”
In addition, C.J. Ezell, founder and CEO of Cross Bay Digital Marketing, presented “Be Heard! Why Your MSP Story Matters More Now.”
Session topics throughout the day included growing margin and MRR, cloud, cybersecurity, building a client advisory board, and more. The event included a solutions pavilion and networking time.
Keynote speaker Mike Michalowicz, business makeover specialist and author of the Pumpkin Plan and Profit First, discussed how businesses can determine what to do, in what order, to ensure healthy, fast, and permanent growth with his latest book Fix This Next.
The day concluded with a closing ceremony and giveaways.
