Cylance Inc., the company that revolutionized the antivirus and endpoint protection industry with true AI powered prevention that blocks malware, fileless attacks, and today’s most advanced cyberthreats, announced the promotion of Greg Silberman to Chief Privacy Officer. As Chief Privacy Officer, Greg will oversee the implementation and enforcement of practices that manage data in accordance with the Cylance’s Privacy Principles with the goal of making Cylance a leader in the artificial intelligence and security industries with respect to employee and customer privacy.
As a lawyer, Greg has over 20 years’ experience working with companies to develop solutions to address complex business and legal issues at the intersection of intellectual property, privacy, and information security.
Prior to joining Cylance in 2016, he was a partner in the Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Data Protection practice group in the Silicon Valley office of Jones Day. Earlier in his career, Greg served as Intellectual Property Counsel at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
“Greg has a unique skill set and deep understanding of both the legal and technology fields, which makes him the ideal candidate to lead our data privacy efforts,” said Malcolm Harkins, Chief Security and Trust Officer at Cylance. “As we build a global security platform and rapidly expand into the future and new global markets, Greg will help ensure our mission to protect every computer, person, and device under the sun.”
