Ipswitch Releases Updated IMail Server Email and Collaboration Software

Ipswitch’s IMail, Delivering 98 Percent Spam Catch Rate for Small to Mid-Sized Businesses, Now Updated to OpenSSL 1.0.2 J, Adds Outbound SSL Delivery Options and More

LEXINGTON, Mass. – July 19, 2017 – IpswitchÆ, the leader in easy to deploy, manage and use file transfer and network management software, released an updated version of IMail Server email and collaboration software. A complete WindowsÆ email, calendar and messaging solution designed for small to mid-sized businesses, Ipswitch IMail Server v12.5.6 includes an update to the most recent version of OpenSSL, among other enhancements.

“For two decades, IMail Server has been affordable and hassle-free for reliable email and communications,” said Rich Welch, Executive Vice President, Customer Satisfaction at Ipswitch. “To keep pace with the requirements of small and medium sized businesses, we’ve provided a number of enhancements that the market requires for secure and reliable communications.”

IMail Server includes powerful anti-spam management tools, a new web-based administrator and client and implements a series of programs that run as services. In addition to being updated to OpenSSL 1.0.2 J, IMail outbound SSL delivery options have been added under Queue Manger service settings, providing the ability to configure domains to only be delivered over an SSL connection as well as the ability to configure domains that Queue Manager should not attempt SSL delivery. In the IClient.config file, there also are new configuration options, including DisableComposeReplyForward, HideAttachmentsInMessageDisplay and DisplayMessagesAsPlainTextOnly.

“IMail is an incredibly stable product,” said David C. Miller, Senior IT Support Tech at Keystrokes Transcription Service. “Along with its stability is an incredibly professional and educated support team always willing to go the extra mile. I have always been completely satisfied whenever I need to reach out to this team and have never not seen resolution in anything I have needed to reach out to them for. Where most application support leaves you waiting, Ipswitch leaves you answered and always up and running.”

IMail Server is a complete Windows email server with SMTP, POP, IMAP, LDAP and List Server. Users can send and receive email using any standards-based client, including Microsoft OutlookÆ, Outlook ExpressÆ or EudoraÆ and can access email via IMail’s customizable web messaging. IMail has a 98 percent spam catch rate with Cyren Anti-spam and a 75 percent savings over Microsoft Exchange.
