HP Refreshes Spectre x360 and Pavilion x2 PCs

The company gives its consumer hybrid PC lineup a boost with larger, high-resolution displays and the latest 6th Generation Intel Core processors.

At CES 2016 in Las Vegas, HP Inc. revealed new, larger versions of its Spectre x360 and Pavilion x2 consumer hybrid PCs.

Spectre x360 – Thin and Light 15.6-Inch Convertible PC

The HP Spectre x360 convertible PC now includes a 15.6-inch diagonal 4K Ultra HD (3840×2160) touchscreen, Audio by Bang & Olufsen, optional Intel Iris graphics, and up to 16GB of memory. At four pounds and 15.9 millimeters thin, the convertible PC features a CNC aluminum chassis designed to accommodate a 64.5 Whr battery, boasting up to 13 hours of battery life on the Full HD version and up to 9.5 hours on the Ultra HD models.

Additionally, the HP Spectre x360 offers 6th generation Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, SSD up to 512GB, three USB 3.0 ports with Sleep and Charge, and one USB-Type-C connector that supports up to 5GB of data transfer.

The 15.6-inch diagonal HP Spectre x360 is expected to be available on February 14, 2016, with a starting price of $1,149.

OLED Option for 13.3-inch Diagonal HP Spectre x360

The PC manufacturer also announced that it will provide a Quad HD OLED display option on its 13.3-inch diagonal HP Spectre x360 to give customers brighter screens for viewing media. With expected availability this spring, the convertible PC will offer optional Intel Iris graphics and up to 1 TB of SSD storage.

12.1-Inch Diagonal Pavilion x2

HP is building upon its Pavilion x2 10.1-inch diagonal detachable PC and is now offering a 12.1-inch diagonal Full HD version (1920 x 1280) for customers who need a larger display for productivity and entertainment. Customers of the updated PC will have a choice of Intel Atom with 64 GB eMMC or 6th generation Intel Core M processors with 128 GB or 256 GB SSD storage.

The†detachable PC also features a USB Type-C connector to charge and power the device, a full-size USB 2.0 port to attach external devices without a dongle, and a micro HDMI port to connect to an external display or TV.

The 12.1-inch diagonal HP Pavilion x2 is expected to be available on February 7, 2016, with prices starting at $499.99.
