The Acer Revo One RL85, a sleek Windows 8.1 PC offering big power in a small chassis, is now available in the United States. Acer’s mini PC is designed to be a practical device for enjoying movies, TV programs, slide shows, and music as well as syncing devices to share data with the entire family. The chassis measures 4.19 x 4.19 x 6.1-inches and fits within any living environment, including tight spaces.
With the inclusion of both HDMI and Mini DisplayPort, the Revo One RL85 can support up to two displays with some models able to power 4K2K UHD monitors and 4K televisions. Plus, HD 7.1 surround sound output delivers lifelike audio.
Four different models are available and include up to an Intel Core i5 processor, as much as 8GB memory, and two configurations come with Intel HD 5500 Graphics. An SD card slot is located on the top of the chassis for easy access. Also, on top are four LED lights to showcase the status of each hard drive and LAN. The I/O ports, which include the display ports as well as two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports, are organized at the back of the device.
The PC comes with either a 60GB solid state drive or a 1TB hard disk drive and select models come with two expandable, hot swappable SATA expansion ports for adding up to two additional drives that are capable of containing up to 2TB each. The drives can be networked in RAID 0, 1 and 5 configurations for data protection and backup.
Acer’s Revo One RL85 is priced at $249.99 and comes with a limited one-year parts and labor warranty.
