Continuum’s Inaugural Navigate 2014 Opens in Boston

Continuum anticipates 450 people at its first annual user conference.

Continuum, the channel-only provider of fully integrated managed IT services solutions, is expecting 450 attendees at the sold-out Navigate 2014, the company’s first user conference. Navigate 2014, being held September 21 to 23 at Boston’s Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center, features 40 business and technical sessions for MSPs and IT resellers covering business strategy and economic models, sales and marketing, service delivery optimization, industry trends, product updates, and technical training.

Attendees will learn about new apps from MSPs, network with peers, get the latest in product developments from a wide range of speakers, and participate in a Q&A with Continuum’s executive leadership.

On Monday, Mark Connolly, Continuum’s VP of sales, opens the conference. Keynote speakers are Peter Isler, America’s Cup Winner, motivational speaker, and author, who’s talk is “Business Lessons for Navigating Rough Waters.” He is followed by Michael George, CEO of Continuum, whose talk is titled “True North.”

Afternoon sessions include:

  • Level Up Your Value: Evolving Past the MSP Basics
  • Keys to Attracting and Retaining Good Sales Talent
  • Client Technology Roadmap & Budget Review
  • Continuum Product Strategy and New Product Announcement
  • And more

Preconference workshops included technical forums on security, tips and tricks on scripting, and cient communications. There was also an MSP Peer Group workshop on best practices led by Arlin Sorensen, HTG, and a welcome reception and tech showcase.

Day one closes with a tech showcase and networking reception, followed by a Boston Harbor cruise sponsored by Autotask.

Day two keynoter Paul Chisholm opens with “Old Dogs, New Tricks: How MSPs Are Staying Successful in the New Channel.” Chisholm was the CEO of mindSHIFT Technologies, a provider of managed IT and cloud services to small and midsize businesses throughout the U.S.††

Other keynoters on Tuesday are Mark Cattini,†president and CEO, Autotask, “Enhance Customer Experience with a Smart Approach to IT Service Delivery”; and Tony Scott,†senior VP and CIO, VMware, and board of advisors, Continuum, “A Fluid World Demands a New Model for IT: One CIO’s Perspective.”

Sessions include an industry trends panel led by Carl Brooks of 451 Research; a panel on leveraging Continuum products with mobile devices led by Nicolas Dard, Continuum, Francois Daumard, Fiberlink, and Mark Richmond, Microdoctor; and a panel on top security and compliance issues led by Chris Johnson, Untangled Solutions, Charles Love, Big Sur Technologies, Nick Bruno, Continuum, and Win Pham, Rapidfire.

Other session topics include: Managed Services Is Not a Product: It’s a Business Model, New Tactics for Closing More Qualified Sales Leads, and Best Practices for Deploying BDR.
