Back in 2012, Paradigm Electronics debuted the Soundtrack soundbar. Now, it looks like the company is ready for a blockbuster sequel.
Paradigm just started shipping the Soundtrack 2, a package that includes a 6-driver soundbar and a wireless subwoofer.
The Soundtrack 2’s soundbar boasts Class-D amplification with 2 x 25 watts of RMS power and 2 x 50 watts peak power. It also has two 4.5-inch bass midrange drivers, two 4-inch passive radiators, and two 1-inch satin-anodized aluminum dome tweeters. No additonal AV components are needed!
Also worth noting is that the soundbar includes a 2-channel Music Mode and a multichannel Movie mode with Dolby Digital and Paradigm Virtual Surround. If you enjoy music, you’ll also appreciate being able to stream a ton of it right to the speaker, using Bluetooth with aptX streaming technology.
The actual soundbar has controls for power, volume and subwoofer syncing. It also has learning functions and discrete HEX codes, if you’re partial to your current controller. Other features include digital optical inputs, analog stereo inputs, and analog outputs.
Rounding out the package is the dual-ported subwoofer, which delivers 100 watts of RMS power and 250 watts peak power via an 8-inch laminated composite cone driver with a 1.5-inch aluminum-wire voice coil. It also has two oversized ports and a DSP signal-processing engine.
