Intel Capital has made an investment in Recon Instruments, a Canadian technology company behind the world’s first consumer Heads-up Display products for sports. Recon’s products include Jet, a heads-up display for sports that unobtrusively delivers activity-specific information instantly, directly to the athlete’s eye. In addition, Recon recently introduced the Recon Snow2, its fourth generation heads-up display for alpine skiing. With more than 50,000 units shipped worldwide, Recon’s compelling technology is driving the revolution in wearable computing, an area of significant focus for Intel Capital.
