Acronis, a disaster recovery and data protection provider, is collaborating with SolarWinds, an IT management software provider, on a VMware vSphere management solution. When purchased together, Acronis vmProtect and SolarWinds Virtualization Manager are available at a discounted rate to partners in the Acronis Global Partner Program.
The collaboration brings backup and recovery to one affordable package, enabling users to maintain a VMware environment. An intuitive web-based interface allows admins to use one console to manage all tasks, including advanced replication with failover and failback, and the ability to run a virtual machine from its backup. In the event of a total server failure, bare metal recovery allows an entire machine to be recovered to dissimilar hardware.
