The components manufacturer uses Corsair Dominator GT CMGTX6 DDR3 to achieve a memory frequency of 1733.8 MHz.
PC components manufacturer Corsair has a set a new overclocking record.
Using Corsair Dominator GT CMGTX6 DDR3 memory, the company achieved a memory frequency of 1733.8 MHz (DDR3-3467).
The record was set at the Corsair laboratory under the direction of company employee Jake Crimmins. He used a custom designed, liquid nitrogen-cooled PC based on an AMD FX-8150 processor, equipped with 1 GB of Dominator GT DDR3 memory. The system was powered by a Corsair Professional Series Gold AX1200 modular power supply.
“Breaking overclocking world records requires skill, ingenuity, and the right equipment,” said Crimmins explains. “I’ve broken several records using Dominator GT memory.”
A blogpost on the Corsair website details the event.
