Ottawa, Canada-based N-able Technologies, a provider of remote monitoring and management (RMM) automation software for managed service providers (MSPs) and IT departments, aims to enhance desktop management with its new enterprise-class anti-spam management solution, Security Manager | Anti-spam.
The Security Manager | Anti-spam product operates with the recently announced N-central 8.0 platform and is automated to deliver anti-spam management remotely to desktops in a single-tenant or multi-tenant environment.
The configurable anti-spam solution is offered to MSPs and IT departments on a per protected mailbox basis, making the solution affordable, with pricing starting as low as $.50 per mailbox, per month. Offered as an on-premises or hosted solution available to use within a network operations center (NOC) or via the cloud, Security Manager | Anti-spam analyzes incoming email and, according to N-able, “detects 98 percent or more of all spam with a low false positive rate.”
The Web-based solution could be viewed as an easy-to-sell managed service offering for a VAR interested in becoming an MSP or simply adding some managed services to his or her company’s portfolio, but who may not be ready to offer complete IT coverage as a service. The technology can also be branded, and it integrates with professional services automation (PSA) offerings from Autotask and ConnectWise.
“With automatic updates and a Web-based administrative console, this next level of anti-spam and virus protection frees up the MSP and IT department to work on the strategic projects that drive their customers and businesses forward,” explains Robert Grapes, director of product management and product marketing, N-able Technologies. “For MSPs, it’s a great recurring revenue solution that demonstrates the power and benefits of managed services in an easy-to-consume format.”
