TRENDnet Offers Two New Pan/Tilt/Zoom Internet Cameras
The wireless N model and the PoE model were released “in response to partner feedback,” according to the networking hardware maker.
Networking hardware maker TRENDnet announced the availability of two new camera models last week: The ProView Wireless N Pan/Tilt/Zoom Internet Camera (Model TV-IP612WN) and the ProView PoE Pan/Tilt/Zoom Internet Camera (Model TV-IP612P).
“These cameras were launched in response to partner feedback,” says Zak Wood, TRENDnet’s director of global marketing. “We anticipate that they will further strengthen our leading IP camera market position.”
Both cameras offer ten-times optical zoom, combined with 16 times digital zoom for a 26-times zoom factor. In addition, both models boast auto focus capabilities.
The two new models can both pan side-to-side 330 degrees and tilt up and down 120 degrees from any Internet connection. The Pan/Tilt Auto-Patrols can be programed for easier for the monitoring of key security nodes.
Four unique video profiles can be streamed simultaneously. Both models can record high-quality H.264 704 x 480 (at 30 fps) video while streaming lower resolution 176 x 122 video (at 5 fps) to a compatible 3GPP mobile device.
Image controls include brightness, contrast, sharpness, saturation, and black and white. When installed upside down, the image can be flipped and mirrored in order for users to see a video image that is not inverted. An infrared filter provides robust night vision. Samba support facilitates storing video on any network attached storage device.
LED indicators on the front of the cameras display link and power status (and can also be disabled). A micro-SD card slot provides an alternative to storing video on a network attached storage device. Input/Output ports on the back of the camera can be hardwired to an existing alarm system. The cameras come with a built-in microphone, a port to connect third-party speakers (in order to use the two-way audio function), and an additional microphone-in port. A mounting plate on the bottom of the camera facilitates installation in a camera enclosure. A wall/ceiling mounting kit is included, and the off-white camera housing blends into most environments.
MODEL TV-IP612WN
The ProView Wireless N Pan/Tilt/Zoom Internet Camera (Model TV-IP612WN) features embedded 300 Mbps wireless n (802.1n) technology. The camera can be added to a wireless network at the touch of a button with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS). Simply press the WPS button on a WPS compliant router, or access point, then press the camera’s WPS button and they automatically connect.
MODEL TV-IP612P
The ProView PoE Pan/Tilt/Zoom Internet Camera (Model TV-IP612P) features Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. The camera doesn’t need to be installed near as power source, as power and data are received through a single Ethernet cable using Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology. PoE installations save installation costs and time when installing cameras in locations from a power source. There is also an optional power port for traditional wired camera installations.
IP VIEW PRO 2.O SOFTWARE
Users can opt to manage TRENDnet cameras individually through each camera’s user interface, or manage TRENDnet ProView cameras from a central Windows-based computer with TRENDnet’s free IP View Pro 2.0 software.
Up to 32 cameras can be managed from TRENDnet’s ProView camera line. Advanced features include scheduled recording, motion detection recording, email alerts, H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG image compression, two-way audio, archived video search, full and partial screen viewing options, auto scan, and more.
Model TV-IP612P is now shipping to online and retail partners with an MSRP of $899.99. Model TV-IP612WN is shipping with an MSRP of $999.99.
