Ringio Ends Beta Period, Adds Features to ‘Rich-Calling’ Service
The communications SaaS adds the ability to integrate with SMBs’ pre-existing PBXs. Ringio also improves call-routing and account administration.
Ringio is a new “rich calling” service for SMBs that integrates customer relationship management (CRM) and interactive voice response (IVR) tools with new and pre-existing private branch exchanges (PBXs).
The service can be programmed to handle customer phone calls in a number of ways. For example, Ringio can greet callers by name, automatically route them to the person they spoke with last, and forward calls to employees’ cell or home phones.
According to Ringio, the public beta program has completed. An updated version of the rich calling service has been released, capping its trial run.
“Our beta users asked for the best of both worlds,” says Ringio co-founder and chairman Michael Zirngibl. “Now SMBs who have a PBX, and those who don’t, can get the call-center-style screen, visibility into co-workers’ availability, and sophisticated call routing they never could afford before.”
As a direct result of on-going development and beta testing, according to Ringio, the newly improved service includes:
- Integration with Pre-Existing PBXs–Calls and their CRM displays can be routed straight to those on PBX extensions as well as those on direct-inward-dial numbers, with no need to change recorded greetings, prompts, etc. Ringio can also make “virtual extensions” out of phones at home and mobile phones, either forming an entire hosted PBX or adding them to an installed PBX.
- Caller-Centric Call Routing–Ringio can greet callers by name, automatically route them to the person they spoke with last, and forward calls to pre-determined individuals.
- Sign-up and Account Administration–Self-serve, Web-based setup and administration of office-communications systems with phone-based technical support for backup. Also, adds a new, online administration dashboard.
Ringio pricing starts at $99 per month for four users, with additional users at $25 per month. A free trial version of the SaaS is available for download via Ringio’s site.
