SAP AG Rolls Out Starter Packages for Business ByDesign
The latest release of the business management suite aims to provide accessibility to SMBs.
SAP AG announced general availability of its Business ByDesign feature pack 2.5 last week. The company also introduced three new starter packages for companies looking to adopt the SAP Business ByDesign solution.
The new feature pack is designed to support large-volume rollout and reduce the cost of delivery. In addition, it provides multi-tenancy and features customizable reports, forms, and user interface.
The new starter packages for the SAP Business ByDesign are aimed at those companies looking for short-term value.
In a press release to EH Publishing, SAP AG states, “Starter packages are predefined, focused subsets of the full SAP Business ByDesign suite that are deployed simply and are available at fixed implementation prices.”
Available for as few as 10 users, the three starter packages include:
- CRM Starter Package–Provides customers with best business practices for sales force automation (SFA), enabling lead generation, sales stage management, and deal closing support. The company says the packages can be implemented in as little as three weeks and start at $13,500.
- ERP Starter Package–Provides customers that have outgrown accounting-only systems with the integrated financials, accounting, and analytics capabilities. SAP AG says this package can be implemented in six weeks at a fixed implementation price of $37,500 per user.
- Professional Service Provider Starter Package–Designed to give SMBs affordable access to business process management capabilities. The company says it can go live in approximately eight weeks. It is available for a fixed implementation price of $45,000 per user.
“With the general availability of feature pack 2.5,” says SAP corporate officer Peter Lorenz, “we have achieved a major milestone. By providing this new release, we deliver substantial innovation to support our customers’ business needs today and tomorrow.”
