LabTech Develops RMM Migration Tool
The free app is currently in beta. It is designed to help MSPs migrate from one RMM platform to another.
LabTech Software has created a tool to help MSPs migrate their service offerings from their current remote monitoring solution to LabTech’s own.
According to LabTech, the impetus for creating RMM Migration tool came from recognition that some potential customers were balking at the perceived work inherent to such a migration. “The transition from using existing RMM solution to another could be difficult and time consuming,” says the company in a statement to EH Publis
hing.
The tool is currently in Beta release and is available to a limited number of IT service providers.†
With the LabTech RMM Migration tool, the company says, “large migration steps that took days can now be completed in minutes.”
“The first problem the LabTech RMM Migration tool solves is rolling out the LabTech agent and logical organization of the computers,” the company states. It does this, apparently, by enabling partners to import client, location, and machine organization in LabTech in a way that facilitates client selection and simultaneous importing.
“When the LabTech agent is installed on the computer, it will automatically check into the correct client and location,” says the company. “The solution can save IT service providers days of labor during the migration process.”
The LabTech RMM Migration tool does not charge any licensing fees. It can be acquired from the sales team at LabTech Software.
