STORServer Adds Consulting to Its Backup and Recovery Mix
The data backup provider has officially rolled out its new recovery consulting business, offering SMBs detailed plans, testing, and response to disaster situations.
Data backup solutions provider STORServer has a new offering aimed at helping the mid-market address data loss prevention and strategy.
STORServer is offering disaster recovery consulting services that will assist paid customers in the preparation, testing, and response processes in various disaster situations. 
Laura Buckley, STORServer president, says the company decided to offer the services upon seeing a need at the mid-market level. “Today, most mid-market organizations are not completely confident that they’ll be able to quickly recover from catastrophic data loss,” she says. “That’s why STORServer is pleased to offer three disaster recovery consultation services that are designed to help customers easily and cost-effectively prepare for their worst case data loss scenarios.”
STORServer is offering three types of disaster recovery services as part of the consulting initiative:
- Planning and Support–STORServer will work with customers to conduct a full analysis of suitable disaster recovery plans. On-site support is provided should an actual disaster occur.
- Disaster Recover Onsite Testing–STORServer will provide once yearly, on-site assistance during customer scheduled disaster recovery testing.
- Disaster Recovery First Response–STORServer will provide ongoing, 24-hour on-site response to customers in need of actual disaster recovery.
STORServer says its professional services team provides installation, configuration, support, and so-called Health Check services. Moreover, it says it has certified expert consultants with “years of experience” in backup, archive, and disaster recovery solutions.†
